What is the Air Navigation Race?
Air Navigation Race (ANR) is a simplified form of rally competition, in which pilots compete against each other in navigation and flight precision. The main idea of ANR is to traverse a specific route in the airspace according to designated navigation points and specific scoring rules.
During our competition, the corridor is 0.5 NM wide. Leaving it during the flight results in penalty points. We do not award penalty points for flying through a checkpoint at the wrong time. The crew with the lowest number of penalty points at the end of the task will be the winner.
Who can take part?
Anyone! Of course, if at least one of the people in the crew has the appropriate rating to pilot the SP you intend to take off.
What is needed?
An airplane 🙂
A little more seriously, you need to install a smartphone application, create an account, activate the application, sign up for the competition and you can fly.
How much does it cost?
Activation of the app costs from PLN 15.99 for 1 month, PLN 24.99 for 3 months or PLN 39.99 for a whole year.
What do I need to do to participate?
Install the Air Sports app (iOS/Android)
- Download the Air Sports Live Tracking app available on Google Play and App Store.
- Sign in or create a new account: After opening the app, you can sign in with your existing user account (if you have one) or create a new account if you are a new user.

Search for competitions and register for our competitions
- In the app, select the map icon and find our competitions.
- Click the “Register crew” button. Fill in the details of the second crew member (optional), aircraft, cruising speed and club name (or the name of your crew)
- The competition (and therefore the map) is invisible to ensure equal opportunity for each crew regardless of the time they compete. The administrator will assign you to a competition.
- Declare the start time and current weather conditions. Remember to check the “Adaptive Start” option – this will give you a comfortable margin of the start time. If you want, you can go to the ANR booth at the event, where the administrator will do it for you.
- You will receive an email with the route package. There is a map and turning points. The times and courses on the map are automatically calculated based on cruise speed data and current wind conditions.
- Get ready to fly.
Fly!
- Click the green arrow on the app’s home screen. Make sure the system is not reporting any problems.
- Place your phone so that it has the best possible GPS signal. You can turn off the battery optimization option for this app to be sure that it will not be automatically shut down by the system during the flight.
- Once you land, complete the route recording.
- Your score will be available in the app and at https://home.airsports.no/
Landing accuracy
The competition will be held in one general category. Pilots with a license and a purchased ticket ULDL 2025 will be allowed to participate. Each participant can fly only once.
